Will Storage and Retrieval

What is will storage?

Included in our will services, we offer a wills storage facility. We keep all completed wills in our secure archive. You can retrieve your will whenever you need to, whether it’s to review it, amend it, or destroy it in the case of writing a new will.

How do I retrieve my will?

You will need to send a letter with the following information:

  • A formal request to retrieve your will

  • Your full name

  • Your postal address

  • Your contact telephone number

  • Certified photo ID

  • Certified proof of address.

How do I retrieve a will as an executor?

We can only release the will of a person who has passed away; as an executor, you will not be able to retrieve someone’s will if they are still alive. You will need to send a letter with the above information, including a death certificate of the person whose will you are executing.

If there is more than one executor named in the will, you will need to provide the other executor’s written confirmation that they consent to the will being released to you, as well as their certified personal information.
