What to do

You will need to submit original documents in support of your application, which will need to be translated if they are not in English or Welsh.

If you were born (or adopted) in the UK, a full birth or adoption certificate will be required. If you were born on or after 1 January 1983, you will also need to provide the birth certificate or passport of one of your parents. If relevant, you will also need to show evidence of their immigration status at the time of your birth.

The requirements for necessary documents are different if you are from outside of the UK, and this can differ depending on the country you were born in. Hannah Solicitors can advise you on what documentation you will need to provide.
